Meeting your tax obligations shouldn't be difficult ... or scary. No one likes to pay taxes, but I've always believed you sleep better if you know what your taxes are and that you have them covered.
If you own a small business, your focus needs to be on production, not bookkeeping. A good bookkeeping system should operate as a natural extension of your daily activity. If you find yourself staying up nights trying to "catch up" on your bookkeeping, something is wrong.
Every year, I help people people who have "dropped out" of the system get caught up with their filings. If you haven't filed for a few years, it may seem overwhelming; but just remember there are ways of dealing with it.
